    Was Uncle Bob a known case of Dextrocardia??? Or MI causes referred pain in
    right shoulder???

      Hah! Good point! Uncle Bob’s heart was definitely in the usual place, but
      he felt pain in his right shoulder! I think unusual sites of referred pain
      are not uncommon. Maybe we’ll get better at predicting patterns when we
      have confirmed the physiological mechanisms at work!

      A recent review (JAMA. 2015;314(18):1955-1965.
      doi:10.1001/jama.2015.12735.) suggests the most useful arm symptom for
      diagnosing ischemic chest pain may be “pain radiation to both arms
      (specificity, 96%; LR, 2.6)”.

    So the real cause of referred pain is not proven by science yet? Instead of
    radial pain what is proven?
